Valentine's Dinner

Friday, February 13, 2015Unknown

I'm super excited to share what my fiancé and I had for our Valentine's date night dinner! Prepared & cooked by yours truly! (Thanks to my coworker for the idea) I had so much fun making this dish and would definitely recommend it for anyone who is looking to impress their lover. (And let me tell you, it is so simple to make)

Salt & black pepper
Extra virgin olive oil
Sliced yellow onion
Chopped cilantro
Two ribeye steaks
Two lobster tails

Baked Asparagus:
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Place asparagus onto baking sheet
- Drizzle olive oil
- Sprinkle salt & black pepper
- Bake for 15 minutes

- Heat your pan on High
- Sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of your steaks, to your liking
- Place both steaks in pan to sear
(At this point, you would want to preheat your oven to 350°)
- Sear one side of your steaks until you get a nice brown rich color, flip your steaks, and add in your sliced yellow onions (Add a little more oil and let everything roast together for about 3-5 minutes)
 - Take the whole pan with the steaks and onions, and put it in the oven (Make sure your pan is oven safe)
- Leave in the oven for another 10-15 minutes, depending on how you like your steak
- Once you have your steaks to your desired doneness, plate the steak and top it with the onions and chopped cilantro.

Lobster tail topping:
- Boil your lobster tails until cooked
- Heat a pan on High
- Take the meat out of the shells and transfer it into the pan
- Add in about 4 tsp of butter & a squeeze of lemon juice
- Mix everything together until the lobster meat absorbs some of the liquid
- Top it off on your steak

*** Add some red wine, and this dinner is complete!

Dessert: White chocolate covered strawberries

Let me know if you make this dish, I would love to see your pictures! Also, comment below what you had/will be having for your Valentine's dinner!
